44k raised on Kickstarter won't cover 2 years of hard work (VN scripting, art, battle/upgrade coding, voice acting, in-game music, sound effects, etc), released in 3 parts with all the above features.Īlso the devs originally did this in their off hours and if that were still so, I guess it might be free if no significant improvements were made over the initial demo. It's a very very different piece of work compared to what was originally conceived. However it is also true that Sunrider has also come a very, very long way. So yea, in a nutshell, it's true that part 3 of the trilogy now has a price tag on it, when it was originally felt that it could be free. Show multiple rockets move on screen at the same time! Lag reducing optimizations! (instantly countered by having 50 units on screen at any one time) Lots of balance changes (ie some old MoA units have increased hps/added weaponry, repair costs, orders) and improvements to existing abilities! (ie Stealth) Lots of new units (at least 9+ new units: 4 hostile, 2 friendly, 3 Sunrider aligned, not including boss units)

Lots of new upgrades (many new store items: consumables/mercenary units/permanent boosts that upgrade various gameplay features) Lots of new unit abilities (ie Paladin gets one that enables her to tank more easily) Revamped CP system (CP capped, CP gains instant upon kills)īuffing completely overhauled! (buffs now stack with each other) Revamped resource system (Intel for Sunrider/ryder upgrades, Funds for store items) New character sprite system allowing for thousands of different combinations!

On top of MoA existing code we are now getting the following changes/additions (copy pasting Vaendryl's list from official forums and adding some of my own): There was no voice acting, no OP song, etc No orders, no real AI, aggro system, etc. There was no square grid battlefield, much less hex grid battlefield. More importantly, the battlefield looked like this. Yes but when the game first started it originally looked this i remember a dev said it br free but going back there, it was edit to say now only 1 to 2 will be free and 3 will not be free.
